Sporting Event with Invictus Games Athlete
The School was very excited to welcome GB Wheelchair Rugby Player Stuart Robinson to the school on Friday, 13 October. Stuart was a Royal Air Force Regiment Force Protection multiple commander from 1999 until 2013. Injured in Afghanistan in 2013, Stuart had to have both legs amputated. Since then, Stuart turned to wheelchair rugby and competed in the Invictus Games in 2014.
Stuart led a sponsored fitness circuit with all pupils, and a follow-up with a talk and question and answer session. The aim of the event was to inspire the pupils to take up sport generally, but just as importantly to encourage them to discover and then pursue their passion in life.
