We held an amazing harvest hunt celebrations today in school gardens
All parnets and children had an amazing time in the autumn sun
We hunted for fruit and were thankful for the gifts which were brought in.
We had a visit form the librarian on Monday who shred stories and rhymes with the reception children
We made up own verses to songs and joined in with PANTS ! story book
The children have really enjoyed our recent topic about Owls. To enhance our learning we invited in some very special visitors. The children sat with amazement as Gary introduced us to Willow the Barn Owl, Esta the Eagle Owl, Molly the Great Grey Owl and Buzz the Hawk. We heard some interesting facts about Owls and the children asked some great questions. We listened carefully as Buzz flew over our heads, before we had the opportunity to hold the Barn Owl. We looked carefully as we held the owl and then drew a picture of what we saw. The children enjoyed the visit and this was clear to see and hear through their squeals of delight and huge smiles.
The children in reception have enjoyed a visit from relax kids. The story string hugely successful .
Mrs Swinglehurst, the lollipop lady, has been teaching us how to cross the road safely.
First we looked for a safe place to cross. Then we looked left and right. We used our ears to listen out for cars. Finally we walked across the road, looking at all times.
Thank you Mrs Swinglehurst for teaching us how to be safe crossing the road.
Remember we only cross the road with an adult!
Atelier Holme Head Trip
Wow, what a great learning experience for the children today. We have baked our own bread with canes over a firepit, built dens, explored the mud kitchen, had fun on the rope swing, climbed up the indoor trees, explored the indoor learning area and created our own masterpieces with clay and paint. The children’s behaviour was fantastic, well done everyone!!

On Friday 9th June PC Stewart visited school to meet all of the classes. As part of our British Values and the justice value in school we talked to PC Stewart about his work In the Foundation Stage , the children lobbed hearing about his work and particularly talking about his uniform and equipment .
They asked lots of questions about his work and PC Stewart gave us lots of information about police cars, police dogs and what he does to keep us safe .
