The Wider Curriculum

We wish our wider curriculum to support pupils in their next stage of education, enhance their cultural capital in aspects they might not receive at home and prepare them for life long learning. Our Star curriculum has been designed to ensure all pupil experience opportunities opportunities in Foundation Stage, Key Stage One, Lower Key Stage Two and Upper Key Stage Two in Community, Citizenship, Spiritual, Wellbeing, Adventure and Arts.

We have a wide range of visitors to enhance our curriculum including sports coaches, music teacher, PCSO, Niscu and visitors from different faiths such as Imran for our Muslim workshops.

We also visit many places too. Examples include the cathedral, Robin Wood for our residential trip, local areas for curriculum foci such as our Summer 2022 geographical field trips, theatre and sports competitions. 

To enhance the wider curriculum we offer a range of clubs from Drama, Library, Ethos Group, Football, Ball Skills, Gymnastics and Get Moving to name a few.
