Snow and Ice

 

When the weather is snowy or icy , sections of school will be taken out of use for safety. We will clear a paths in order of priority and will isolate the entrance to school via Harold Street only. Please refer to the policies section for the Gritting Plan. We ask parents and carers only to attend site when essential at this time.

 

School Closure for Weather Adversity

 

Any school closures for this reason will be communicated to parents via text, email and on the school website. We will also inform Cumberland County Council. We inform the local radio stations.

 

Hot Weather

 

When the weather is hot and sunny we ask that children have sun cream applied before they enter school. They should also bring sun hats and a water battle to keep them hydrated.

 

 

We will send out texts and messages when the weather changes to remind everyone.
