We are committed to equality in everything we do at The Bishop Harvey Goodwin School. This is demonstrated through the following:

 

  • We make sure everyone feels safe and secure
  • We treat everyone with fairness and respect at all times
  • We recognise that people may have different needs and understand that treating people equally does not necessarily mean treating them all the same way
  • We offer additional support to those who need it and make all reasonable adjustments so that all can achieve and be their best version of success
  • We make decisions listening to all voices which include through pupil voice, house meetings, staff, governors and families
  • We offer a purposeful learning environment for all
  • We do not tolerate any form of racism, bullying, abuse of any kind. Our policies and procedures are shared and known and are used to manage any incidents
