Mayor and Mayoress Visit March 2023

It was lovely to welcome The Mayor and the Mayoress on Monday 13th March. Our mini police greeted them with a guard of honour in our gallery as they made their way to the Royal Hall to take part in our whole school worship. The  Mayor talked to us about his election, how he carried out his role of office and about his chain, the sword and mace. Our children were fascinated by the solid gold chain and the sword that is dated from 1509. 

Afterwards he visited Year 1 class who really enjoyed a question and answer session.
