In January 2022 we set up our bespoke cross curricular course for Key Stage Two and Key Stage One/EYFS across our grounds. All the teachers, TAs and dinner staff had training in December 2021 ready for the launch.
So far classes have being going out and using the orienteering to practice many skills in subjects such as phonics and maths as well as consolidating map and fieldwork.
On Red Nose Day 2022 Year 6 designed a course for younger pupils and then in groups independently led them through the activity. This was a great success.
We are looking to start an orienteering club in the near future.
