Making an Obstacle Course- 20th November 2023
Today we created an obstacle course. Positional language was modelled to the children as they created and then moved around the course. The children had to describe the route around the obstacle course that they were going to take. We practised skills in balancing, climbing and jumping as we travelled around the obstacles.
Yoga ‘Tallulah the Owlet’- 18th October 2023
We have been developing our strength, balance and coordination by taking part in weekly yoga sessions. Today we shared the yoga story of 'Tallulah the owlet' and enjoyed practising some new movements within the story.
Karate- 12th October 2023
Lewis came into school to teach us about karate. We worked hard to watch and listen so we knew what to do. We learned how to punch and kick correctly so we didn't hurt ourselves. We had a competition, stepping into the holes of a ladder and Charlie was the ladder champion, then Lewis walked across the ladder on his hands but that was a bit too tricky for us! We had a go with the red gloves and punched the black pads and tried to break the plastic block. At the end we all had a go at punching and kicking the punching bag, it was lots of fun!
