DT – Cooking with a Celebrity Chef!
Year Six were thrilled to have the opportunity to cook with chef Adam Handling. They were instructed in how to make a lamb hotpot. This involved a number of skills: peeling, chopping, mixing, measuring and layering. They followed the recipe and instructions, adding stock to the mixture and finally layering thinly sliced potato on the top. Each of them took home a dish of delicious lamb hotpot to share with their family.
DT – Making Apple Crumble
Year Six planned and prepared a seasonal dish - apple crumble.
They used their skills of weighing, rubbing in, peeling, chopping and slicing. It was really tasty and some of us even had seconds and thirds!
